My name is Lachie and I’m a 20 year old student from Sydney coming to Amsterdam on exchange for 6 semesters. I am kind, respectful, responsible and friendly, and love to meet new people and explore new places. I’m studying commerce and computer science at university and my semester in Amsterdam will be my final semester before I graduate. I spent the first two years of my degree in shared uni accomodation so I have lots of experience at living in shared housing. While doing Uni, I’ve been working part time in Finance at Macquarie group, and I’ve been offered a graduate role there starting in February when I return from exchange, which I am excited for.
Outside of work and study, I’m super interested by technology and physics, and have recently co-founded a startup in quantum computing with some close friends from uni which I am incredibly excited to work on. Additionally, I love to watch and play football, which I have done all my life, so I’m looking forward to joining a social team when I am in Amsterdam, and hopefully watching some games in the Eredevisie. This will be my first time in Amsterdam, so I am incredibly excited to explore the city, meet new people, and make the most of my time there.
